Weโve been in your area ๐ Local Policing Update โ Vehicle Crime Operation ๐
Last night, your local policing team carried out a targeted operation in response to a recent rise in thefts from vehicles across the area.
During proactive patrols, officers checked vehicle door handles in key locations to identify any that had been left unsecured. In under one hour, 15 vehicles were found unlocked โ making them an easy target for opportunistic criminals.
๐ Help us keep your property safe:
Always lock your vehicle, even if youโre only leaving it for a short time Double-check that doors are secure and windows are fully closed Never leave valuables on display (bags, phones, tools, or loose change) Remove keys and ensure keyless entry fobs are stored safely at home Consider using additional security such as steering wheel locks or alarms
Criminals often rely on simple opportunities โ an unlocked car can take seconds to enter.
We will continue to carry out patrols and targeted operations to deter crime and protect our community. Your vigilance plays a key role in preventing offences.
If you notice suspicious activity, please report it to us.
